File Transfer Failed

File transfer depends on the client network, server address, file service, disk space, and proxy or HTTPS configuration.

Common Symptoms

  • Large files fail while small files work.
  • The sender succeeds but the recipient cannot download.
  • Multiple users cannot send files at the same time.

What to Check First

  • Confirm whether messages are working normally.
  • Check the client network and the server address.
  • Verify that the file service port is reachable.
  • Check server disk space and the 'Gofastdfs' file service.
  1. Retry with a small file and another client.
  2. Check whether the issue affects one user or many users.
  3. Ask operations to check disk space, file service status, HTTPS, domain, and proxy configuration.
  4. Collect client logs and server logs if the issue continues.

Operations Focus

  • Check server disk space first.
  • Check or restart 'Gofastdfs' if file upload or download fails for multiple users.
  • Check reverse proxy and HTTPS configuration when the issue appears only after domain or certificate changes.

When to Contact an Administrator or Operations Team

  • The issue affects multiple users or the whole company.
  • The fix requires restarting production services, replacing certificates, changing databases, changing file services, or updating License files.
  • Provide the failure time, impact scope, screenshots, account information, client version, server address, and related logs when reporting the issue.
